The gameplay itself revolves around your microbe and its ability to keep growing while attacking and destroying other microbes in order to get mutagens and other useful items. There are skills available that can help in attack, movement and defense and the correct use of each skill can help in different phases of the game. As you defeat other microbes, you win XP while eating small food items also increases your XP. The XP defines your life and you would want to go into battles with higher XP in order to get better chances of winning the battles and staying the game. If the microbe somehow dies in a battle, you can always start the game again though you would be down on XP on the restart but would start at the same level.

The controls in the game are fine. A joystick helps you control movement while you can deploy your special skills through the skill buttons available the right side of the screen. The graphics are beautiful with the microbes moving around in a water-like environment. There are a wide variety of different looking microbes present in the world of microbes and its quiet interesting to keep finding different microbes during the game.
